Empire State Voices (ESV) is working to hold federal elected officials in New York accountable for failing to deliver for New York working families. I worked with them to create a t-shirt design for their staff, volunteers, and for event promotion.
Moodboard
The audience represents blue-collar workers - they are everyday New Yorkers, rural and suburban New Yorkers, families impacted by inflation. The tone is authentic, gritty, angry, and urgent.
I decided to use bold typography as the main focus with protest imagery. The text is meant to be fluid to reflect shouting and the megaphone layout was inspired by the Statue of Liberty.
